North Coast of Scotland

The next six months are going to be about producing a body of work called “Its A Shore Thing,” so to help fill the well of inspiration I was able to get away for a few days to the north coast of Scotland with my husband Jamie .

Our base for the time away was the lovely, dog friendly Bettyhill Hotel, so helpful and friendly and we were sent on our way each morning with a cracking breakfast. Pippin loved it , she even had her own plate with dog treats.

Farr Beach is a 10 minute walk from the hotel and I loved it. We had a real mixed bag of weather but with that you get so many different versions of one place and I love it when its wild. The sea smashing against the rocks, the spray, the big black moody clouds … all of it is right up my street!
