Texture 2
Friday 6th June 2025
Delgatie Castle, Turriff
10-4pm
If you have completed Working with Texture you are already aware of all the different types of texture that can be used in a painting. This workshop will encourage you to look closely at the outside world and find the textures and patterns that are so abundant in nature.
We will begin the day in the garden at Delgatie looking to see what texture we can find, we will record in its our sketchbooks for reference later in the day.
Having done previous workshops it has become apparent that creating an interesting foreground can be tricky . The intention is to use our references and texture to create an interesting and unique piece.
Working with texture is very freeing as you can’t always predict what is going to happen when you add the media . The marks that are made can be truly random and organic, much like nature itself.
This is a fun day with the main emphasis on exploring, experimenting and discovering a different way of working. There will be numerous tips and tricks along the way.
Refreshments of morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided throughout the day.
Please note this course is suitable for those who have some experience in painting.
An email will be sent out one week before the course with further information .
Please read full details + terms below before booking.
