The Art of Making Art - Part 2 Going Large

£135.00
Sold

Friday 11th October 2024

Delgatie Castle, Turriff

Putting together everything you learned in the first workshop of The Art of Making Art, can you push yourself to create a larger piece of artwork?

If you would like to have a go at this and didn’t do the first course you absolutely can!

I’ll recap from the first day to set you up for success today.

All the equipment will be provided and this will be a day filled with encouragement and tips on achieving a large scale painting.

Working in a larger format can produce its own challenges, but fundamentally it’s down to confidence - it’s going to be fun, think channelling your inner Jackson Pollock.

Then it’s down to larger quantities of paint, larger brushes, bigger mark making gestures and again not holding it precious.

I will work through the whole process with you. You’ve already got lots of the skills under your belt, you are good to go!

You will start the day with a warm up project , a simple format on a small scale and then you will move onto working on the large canvas.

All painting and paper materials will be provided. I will also provide a large 70 x 70 cm canvas.

The course is limited to 6 people to give you the best possible experience on the day and I’m so looking forward to seeing you again or meeting you for the first time.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided by the Castle Team.

An email will be ent out one week before the course with further information

Please read details + terms below before booking.
