Have you ever wanted to add another dimension to your artwork?

Bored with doing the same old same old?

Want a day of creative fun with like minded people?

This could be the workshop for you.

Texture in your work gives you a great opportunity to work with a new kind of freedom. You can't always predict what going to happen and the marks that are made can be truly random and organic, much like nature itself.

You will get the opportunity to experiment with various textures making a board to take home as reference material. The remaining part of morning will then be spent creating an artwork. I’ll do a short demo on a prepared board and then its over to you to have some fun. You will be working with acrylics, acrylic inks and numerous other media. These will be provided along with the surfaces but please feel free to bring your own art materials especially if you have favourite colours that you want to work with

In the afternoon you will embark on a second project working with textures to create a landscape/seascape or a more abstract piece. The choice will be yours and I’ll be on hand to guide and talk you through the best way to use your texture. I will being doing small demos throughout the day guiding you through each project.

This is a fun day with the main emphasis on exploring, experimenting and discovering a different way of working. There will be numerous tips and tricks along the way.

Refreshments of morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided throughout the day.

Please note this course is suitable for those who have some experience in painting.

An email will be sent out one week before the course with further information .
